Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge this land. The Dreaming is still living. From the past, in the present, into the future, forever.

I am proud of the commitment and capability demonstrated by the staff of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) during the 2023-24 financial year.

The department continues to deliver on policies and projects that bring the community, business, and government sectors together to benefit the state’s economy and to add to its vibrancy.

We are ambitious as leaders in the public sector, striving to be the heart of government. We have supported improved government service delivery by making more transactions available online and making our services more secure by enhancing our cyber security posture.

We established the Office for AUKUS, an exciting opportunity to work together to provide major uplift to our workforce, industry, infrastructure and economy through this historic submarine project.

We are making our communities more inclusive through the establishment of the Office for Autism and the launch of the state’s first Autism Inclusion Charter, as well as the introduction of the Multicultural South Australia Ambassador Program to activate the South Australian Multicultural Charter. We connected with our communities through activities including Country Cabinet, economic forums and the Multicultural Festival.

We’re committed to strengthening our exceptional arts and culture sector, providing grants to individuals and organisations as well as leveraging partnerships to provide new opportunities for artists.

DPC staff can be incredibly proud of the work that has been delivered this year, creating value and opportunities for our state that will be realised for generations to come. Thank you to everyone whose hard work and dedication is reflected in the significant list of achievements outlined in this report. I am excited to continue building on our strengths to deliver our ambitious plans for the future.
