A state funeral to honour the life and achievements of Professor Peter Buckskin AM PSM will be held at 10:30am on Friday 12 June 2026 at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Kaurna Country, Newton.
The state funeral will honour Professor Buckskin’s life and contribution in advancing the rights and educational outcomes to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Australia and internationally.
Members of the public are welcome to attend and pay their respects. Guests are required to register their attendance.
For those unable to attend, the funeral will be livestreamed and available to watch from 10:30am ACST via the Department of the Premier and Cabinet website and on the SA Government Facebook page.
