The Social Affairs Cabinet Committee (SACC), chaired by the Minister for Health and Wellbeing, drives the development and implementation of the government’s commitment to strategic reforms in social policy from a whole of government perspective, including delivery models, resource allocation and stakeholder engagement.

SACC considers items relating to:

  • strategic priorities in the areas of health and disability reform
  • child protection, including evidence-based family support strategies
  • building workforce skills and capability, including improving teaching standards and education outcomes, and
  • whole of government issues that have the potential to affect the cost of living.
