With Arts South Australia’s support, the Adelaide Festival Centre Trust and key performing arts companies are leading the delivery of this recommendation. Their ongoing discussions considering protocols and procedures to enhance sector understanding will support increased collaboration and utilisation of the Adelaide Festival Centre Trust’s venues and implementation of this recommendation.

Government’s formal response to this recommendation has been implemented. Arts South Australia’s commitment to this recommendation is ongoing and continues to support the key stakeholders to deliver the best possible outcomes for the sector.

The establishment of regular meetings between the organisations has supported the big picture, sector ecology and visionary conversation between members, and progressed the operational aspects of collaboration, as outlined in recommendation 5.1.

In 2019, the Adelaide Festival Centre Trust hosted the initial meeting with the board chairs of sector organisations. Arts South Australia hosted the second meeting in January 2020. These meetings continue periodically, with a rotating chair and key stakeholders now taking charge of the meetings.

Government’s formal response to this recommendation is now complete. The sector’s progress in addressing operational concerns and optimal use of the Adelaide Festival Centre’s iconic venues remains ongoing.
