South Australia’s new Trade and Investment Office in Shanghai opened this month.

This expanded global presence aims to help increase our state’s international trade and support exporters in accessing markets in China, the Americas, North East Asia, South East Asia and the Middle East.

China is South Australia’s largest two-way trading partner and our state’s highest source of international students as well as being one of our most valuable tourism visitor markets.

The new office will extend South Australia’s network in China to cover north and east China, whilst complementing the existing office in Jinan, Shandong and representation in Hong Kong. It also ensures that our state will be well-advanced in further growing export opportunities particularly in food, wine and services.
