Jobs in emerging industries will be the focus of South Australia’s biggest employment and careers exhibition: JOBEX.

Employers including Tesla, BAE Systems, Fleet Space Technologies and our leading tertiary institutions will showcase career pathways and job opportunities in five growing sectors: defence and ship building, health and research, IT and hi-tech, energy and mining, and tourism, food and wine.

Keynote speakers will share their vision and insights on entrepreneurship.

Thousands of job seekers, graduates and students are expected to attend the free, two-day event on 10 and 11 November to explore education and training options and new career pathways.

Regional expos will also be held in Port Augusta (20 November) and Murray Bridge (23 November) ensuring that future opportunities are accessible to as many South Australians as possible.

Mighty Kingdom, which makes world-class mobile games for a customer base of more than 5 million monthly users, will exhibit at all three locations.

The Adelaide-based company employs programmers, visual designers, 3D modellers, animators and project managers – many from regional South Australia - and actively recruits from universities.

General Manager Dan Thorsland is eager to showcase his organisation as an employer of choice.

“The gaming industry offers real career pathways, actual jobs and good salaries, and you don’t have to go to Sydney or the United States to be successful,” he said.

“Gaming jobs are growing and are already right here in South Australia.”

Entry to the expo and speaker sessions is free but people need to register at www.JOBEX.sa.gov.au.
